Exceptional places to stay, where history and natural beauty meet.
The Hall at Bolton Abbey
Welcome to the private home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and their family, now an exceptional, exclusive-use retreat in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Surrounded by ancient moorland on the banks of the River Wharfe, The Hall at Bolton Abbey was originally built in the 1300s as an Augustinian Priory gatehouse. It sits within a landscape immortalised by artist JMW Turner, who famously painted The Hall’s Abbey ruins in the early 1800s.
Thorpe Fell Moorland Experience
Set high on a hilltop amid the rugged outcrops of the Yorkshire Dales, Thorpe Fell Cabin offers an exceptional opportunity to connect with nature. This historic cabin, once a shelter for moorland adventurers and sought out by royal visitors, is now a remote, off-grid refuge with a wood-burning stove, natural interiors and panoramic views of the moorland landscape. Trek to the cabin on foot or travel by 4×4, and get away to the wild.
