Curlew & Endangered Wader Safaris
Join our experienced keepers on the Bolton Abbey Estate and tour the moorland to spot curlew and other endangered birds.
These moorland safaris are led by our gamekeepers, who share their knowledge of the curlew and other endangered waders that thrive on the estate’s managed moorland. Decades of careful stewardship have shaped a landscape rich in flora and fauna, where curlew, lapwing, golden plover, merlin, red kite and snipe can all be seen.
Tickets are £100 per vehicle where each vehicle seats up to 4 people, and a complimentary car park ticket included so you can enjoy the wider estate before or after your session.
Tours take place on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May, and again on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May, with morning and afternoon sessions running from 9.30am to 12 noon or 1pm to 3.30pm.
Numbers for these events are limited so make sure to book your place.
