Inspired by Victorian train station architecture, the Cavendish Pavilion is the perfect riverside pit stop to enjoy some food and drink while exploring Bolton Abbey.

A large selection of cakes on display, all variations from iced buns, to large Victoria sponges.

We offer a choice of sandwiches, hot food, and cakes, available to enjoy indoors, on the terrace, or to take away. For ice cream lovers, our counter serves delicious Yorkshire Dales ice cream. Seating is available both inside and out, with canopy-covered tables perfect for dog walkers and bikers.

We are currently open from 10.00am to 5.00pm every day.

The Cavendish Pavilion is an ideal location for conferences or team off-sites, accommodating 30 or more delegates. It’s a great choice for company keynotes, team-building exercises, and corporate events. Our day delegate rates start from £40 per person and include meeting room and equipment hire, lunch, refreshments, complimentary car parking and unlimited use of the Bolton Abbey Estate.

History

Opening in 1890 to serve visitors arriving by train, the Cavendish Pavilion was designed in the style of a Victorian station building. Renovated in 2006 under Devonshire Hotels and Restaurants, it was transformed again in 2012 with elegant new interiors and expanded outdoor seating.
